Before Your Home Is Listed


It's important to have your home in the best showing condition possible before putting it on the market. Here are a few helpful suggestions.

  • Spot Paint - Touch up interior and exterior pant as needed
  • Update Carpet - If carpets are stained or soiled, have them cleaned, if extremely worn, consider replacing
  • Curb Appeal - Make sure the front is clean and spruced up - curb appeal will create a favorable first impression
  • Trim and Rake - Trim bushes and plants as needed, and make sure the lawn is kept mowed and trimmed. In autumn, rake the leaves; in winter, keep the snow shoveled.
  • Cleaning and Minimize - Keep interior clean and uncluttered. Minimize personal items and family photos, while it is important for your home to reflect you, when selling, too much tends to make it difficult for the prospective buyer to envision your home as theirs
  • Start Packing - Consider putting excess furniture and belongings in storage. Now's the time to clean out the garage and basement, donate or dispose of items you no longer need.

If you do not know of a lender, I can recommend trusted lenders that I have personally worked with for many years.
